Inti Raymi

The Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) is an ancient religious ceremony that was celebrated by the Inca Empire thousands of years ago in honor of the god, Inti (Quechua for “sun”). It’s the celebration of the winter solstice and the Inca New Year. The celebrations features music, colorful clothing, and food.It’s held annually on June 24th, in Cusco, Peru.
